31st WEBINAR: Editing  a packaging declaration of conformity according to Regulation 2025/40 – PPWR

More than 220 industry executives attended the training webinar, organized by AGMPM in collaboration with PwC Greece, with the aim of guiding actors in the packaged goods supply chain on the correct completion of a declaration of conformity.
Mrs. Hara Xirou (Senior Manager, ESG, Sustainability and Climate Change Services, PwC Greece) analyzed the legislative requirements arising from Articles 15 (Obligations of manufacturers) and 39 (EU declaration of conformity), as well as Annexes VII (Conformity assessment procedure) and VIII (EU declaration of conformity) of the regulation, for packaging and packaging waste PPWR, presenting the model declaration of conformity for wooden pallets widely used as tertiary packaging for goods transported in the EU.
It was emphasized that manufacturers shall place on the market only packaging that complies with the requirements set out in Articles 5 to 12 or in accordance with them, with effect from 12 August 2026.
During  the event also presented the timetable for the notification of secondary legislation, which will determine the technical requirements per article of the relevant regulation.
The discussion was moderated by Dr. Costas Samios (Management System Director, Tsimis), member of the AGMPM Board of Directors, and introduced by Mr. Dimitris Mantis, Chairman of the AGMPM Board of Directors.
